The Metro

Only found in the capital of Egypt ‘Cairo’. Considered the fastest and easiest way if you want to avoid Cairo crowded streets.
1980s the construction of Metro started with the first line from Helwan south of Cairo to El Marg north of the city. Yet, so far Metro lines are still expending.

Railways, Trains

Egyptian railway is the oldest railway network in Africa and the Middle East.
It connects all cities of Egypt with each other. You can obtain a timetable for mainline trains from main station, which published every six months, or get it and reserve a train to your destination easily from Railway Egypt site “https://enr.gov.eg/ticketing/public/login.jsf”.

 To get there from Cairo, just take the Metro, stop at ramsis ‘El Shuhadaa’ station.

Public Transportations       

Egypt has a huge network of public transportations, which includes buses, micro-buses, and minivans. It recently established several new stations in each of Egypt’s governorates that help you getting around any city inside Egypt.
One of the best places to find many kinds of transportations to almost any place in Egypt, are Ramsis Square, Abd El Moneim Riyad Square, El Marg, and El Haram.

Try out something different and delightful, a bus on the Nile. I think it funny transportation Also it moves not so fast, but still better than the traffic jam. River bus takes you along the riverside, and it can transport you to the historical Coptic area in Old Cairo. For the Old Cairo destination ask the river bus going to Miser Al-Kadima.

There are three types of taxi; those are waiting till it fills up with enough passengers, ones you can book, and the tourist’s ones.
Nile Taxi is a new quick method of transportation, try it, you’ll enjoy. 

There is another kind of transportations, you can take if you love to drive by yourself, a service called ‘self-driver car’. You can ask for it through the hotel or tourist agencies. This service needs an international driver’s license, and its tariff depends on the type of car.
